It’s a place, a story, and a 25-year-old daydream.
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Zsolt (it’s pronounced [ˈʒolt]), and Chikenfield is my universe.
This isn’t just a brand; it’s a new chapter, built from a wild idea I had about a world full of chickens. For 25 years, that idea stayed with me, just a happy little illusion. In 2019, I decided it was time to see if I could make it real.
The Egg That Took 25 Years to Hatch
I made a tough choice to leave a long career in engineering and manufacturing to follow a completely new path. I didn’t have a map, but I had a few key ingredients: I could play some music, I loved to draw, and I had an imagination that wouldn’t quit.
So, I asked myself: What if I could take everything I’d learned—from logic and structure to my love for art and storytelling—and cook up something new? The journey from that question to what you see today has been a challenge, but a rewarding one. Chikenfield is the meal I’m cooking with all the ingredients of my life.
Fun Fact: The Hungarian word for “calf” is “borjú”—which sounds a lot like how an English speaker might say “bore you.” I promise this story won’t!
The Chikenfield Philosophy
At its heart, Chikenfield is about a few simple, powerful things:

Our stories and designs are served with a hint of sarcasm, a great deal of peace, and a healthy dose of a rebellious spirit.
So, why “Chiken” (with no ‘C’)?
You noticed! While it sounds the same, “Chiken” is a little different. It’s a word I invented to capture that feeling somewhere between “cool” and “lovingly irritating.” It’s a unique personality, and it reminds us that this world is its own special place.
Chiken /ˈt͡ʃɪkən/
– A fictitious word covering a spectrum between “cool” and “irritating” through negligence, with Love and Peace!
